We are proud parents of three daughters, each of whom has greatly benefitted from a Montessori education at Glen Oaks Montessori and Burlingame Montessori. Over the past decade, we’ve witnessed the transformative power of this approach to early childhood education.
Our two older daughters, currently in 5th and 8th grade, consistently perform above average in both Reading Comprehension and Math. We credit their success to the strong foundation built through the Montessori curriculum, which emphasized independent thinking, curiosity, and a love of learning from an early age.
Our youngest daughter, now in her third and final year at Burlingame Montessori, is thriving as a 5-year-old with a late August birthday. She is already reading and thoroughly enjoys her advanced stage workbook. Beyond academics, she flourishes in a stimulating and nurturing environment, embracing her role as a classroom leader with pride and confidence.
We chose to keep her in Montessori rather than entering kindergarten at four years old, recognizing the long-term benefits of high-quality early education. The low teacher-to-student ratio, carefully designed learning environment, and flexible hours have not only supported her development but also allowed our family to maintain a consistent routine. Traditional kindergarten and TK programs often have shorter hours, requiring additional childcare arrangements, which can disrupt schedules and add unnecessary complexity and cost.
Looking back on over a decade of experiences at Glen Oaks and Burlingame Montessori, we feel immense gratitude. These schools have provided our daughters with a foundation for academic excellence, leadership, and a genuine love for learning.
