Our daughter, Kaia, spent 3 years at Burlingame Montessori and is now a happy kindergartner at our local public elementary school. She learned so much and was so happy at BMS during her first 2 years (ages 4-5), but because her birthday is in November, after her second year she became eligible for our elementary school’s transitional kindergarten (TK) program and we debated enrolling her there. We made the decision to keep her at BMS for her third year and feel that we absolutely made the right decision for Kaia.

She benefitted enormously in so many ways! Academically, she continued to benefit from the consistency in her teachers and their familiarity with her learning style, the low teacher-to-student ratio, and the ability to personalize and self-drive her learning. From a social and emotional development perspective, we saw her blossom during her third year. Kaia has always enjoyed playing with the older children in her class, but this became an opportunity for her to be the “older kid” and model leadership for her classmates and even help out where needed.

We are so happy about how BMS has prepared Kaia for the next stages of her life and – more importantly – she has wonderful memories of her time there and always asks to come back and help!
